With the premise “In search of good design”, the Red Dot award is a renowned accolade, granted in pursuit of good design and innovation. Urban Chic has already recently been honoured with the prestigious German Design Award 2022 and also won the IF Design Award for its exclusive design and its tourbillon technology, patented by Ramon Soler, with a sustainable water circuit that controls the force and tension of the water.

A remarkable international jury of design and engineering professionals and experts evaluated a large number of entrants in detail, across different product types.
The Red Dot label has established itself internationally as one of the most sought-after quality marks for good design. In order to assess the diversity in this field in a professional manner, the Red Dot Design Award is divided into three disciplines. The competitions for each of these disciplines are held once a year.
The Urban Chic tap by Ramon Soler® has received the award in the Product Design 2022 category.
The outstanding conceptual design of Urban Chic fuses humankind's longing for nature with its urban spirit, a successful combination of beauty and high technology with an industrial and sustainable soul, thanks to its incredible waterfall outlet and its patented Tourbillon System.
With the Tourbillon System, the water begins its journey through a low-consumption cartridge that controls its temperature and flow. It continues on its way and, without losing its momentum, is sent to the lower part of the tap, where it hits the bottom and loses its force, to rise again in a spiral circuit. From there it is redirected towards the final drop, released in the form of a waterfall and transporting us to the hedonism of nature in our daily use.
Besides the technology behind how it works, the collection comes in a range of top-quality finishes: matt black with an electrostatic coating over galvanised metal, and brushed nickel and gold in PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition).
