Jordi Soler, CEO of Ramon Soler, receives the CEO of the Year Award in Design and Manufacture of Sanitary Taps, in recognition of his experience and his role in leading business and industry in Spain.
The newspaper La Razón held the 1st Edition of the CEO of the Year Awards, an initiative whose main aim is to pay tribute to the work and experience of executive directors from some thirty Spanish companies. Jordi Soler was recognised with the CEO of the Year Award in Design and Manufacture of Sanitary Taps. An award which, for the CEO, is "a recognition of Ramon Soler's track record and of the collective effort of all the people who have collaborated, from managers, supervisors and employees to representatives, customers and everyone who has believed in and supported Ramon Soler over these years". Words he expressed during an interview for the newspaper after receiving the award. The firm, with 130 years of history, has witnessed wars, crises and events that have brought enormous challenges for the company at an economic, social, political and even environmental level.
Jordi Soler grew up among taps, watching his father Ramon Soler Roger run the company, and together with his siblings, they learned to love the profession and to manage and run an industrial company. His university education and his experience within the family business have taken him as a professional, and the company, to what we know today. Since 2013, when he took the reins of the company in a difficult situation, he succeeded in turning the financial situation around, renewing the catalogue with several new series each year.
Today, they have expanded their operating capacity by 300%, investing in infrastructure, equipment and digitalisation. He personally oversees product and design management thanks to his deep knowledge of the tap world, achieving, together with his team, international design awards: IF Design Award, Red Dot Design Award, German Design Award and Delta, among others. Ramon Soler's quality is reaching excellence, its technical capacity has been strengthened and it holds 20 new patents, becoming a benchmark for innovation in the sector. Proof of this is the recent appointment of Jordi Soler to the Technical Committee of the French NF Standard. In addition, he is currently developing new projects to take the company towards new horizons.
