“Bathroom for two”

The bathroom is one of the rooms gaining the most importance in a home, being one of the most pleasant and most intimate. Moreover, over the years it has been taking on a specific weight in terms of safety, health, design and wellbeing. On this occasion, the interior design of the Ramon Soler® "Bathroom for Two" project stands out as a bathroom to be shared, spacious and well laid out, and designed in neutral tones that bring wellbeing and peace, without leaving design lovers indifferent.

Many people, couples, family members or flatmates, share a bathroom today. This premise can sometimes be somewhat complicated, which is why it is important to plan the layout and to have good organisation and the right elements, so that within the same bathroom each person can have their own space. Having two washbasins in the same unit and two bathing areas are some of the qualities that this project fulfils perfectly. The project also features a notable play of straight lines in the bathroom elements, in contrast with the pendant lamps with circular shapes, as well as an excellent selection of the materials used.

Taps are a fundamental and key piece in the design of a bathroom. For this reason, their choice is essential for the quality and safety of the bathroom. So what better option than to equip the Bathroom for Two project with the Ramon Soler® URBAN CHIC tap collection, recently awarded the IF Design Award 2020.

The URBAN CHIC tap design collection stands out for its quality and its straight-line design. It also has a bold, slender, novel and elegant look. It is an absolutely functional tap with an innovative water control system featuring an advanced patent of the Tourbillon system.

The Tourbillon system has a path in which the water passes through a low-consumption cartridge, where its temperature and flow are controlled. The water continues on its way without losing its momentum and is sent towards the lower part of the tap, where it strikes the bottom and loses its force, then climbs back up in a spiral circuit. From there it is redirected to the final drop, where it is released in the form of a waterfall. As a result, seeing the water flow out naturally transports us to the nature of waterfalls.

On this occasion, a chrome finish is used for both the taps and the bathroom accessories, a timeless and sophisticated finish. However, URBAN CHIC is available in matt black, brushed nickel and brushed gold finishes.

The project

"Bathroom for Two", an authentic and natural space, ideal for enjoying as a couple, with a freestanding bathtub, a shower, two washbasins and plenty of room.

In this bathroom, one of the elements that surprises us most is the hand-washing area, where we can see two washbasins that give independence to two people sharing the bathroom who need to use them at the same time.

Its main aim is to create a comfortable bathroom to be used by two people at once, and for this a wide, clear walkway is left and the space is not overloaded.

Bath or shower?

This bathroom has two distinct zones, which create a complete water area: a freestanding bathtub for a relaxing soak, and a shower area for the daily wash in a quicker way. The freestanding bathtub, located in the central area, stands out for its straight lines and its spectacular Ramon Soler® floor-standing tap. A towel rail on the side opposite the tap creates balance and helps to create an airy bathroom and an exclusive central area.

Basin area

A large double basin area, with countertop and washbasins in a single suspended piece, spotless white with straight lines, gives the place character, creating a sophisticated and functional space that is also clean. The floating washbasins lighten the space, an effect further enhanced by the white colour. We also observe that each basin has its own mirror, thus creating symmetrical shapes that give a vision of harmony, order and visual cleanliness. In addition, the straight lines of the countertop contrast perfectly with, and break away from, the bold look and cascade water outlet of the single-lever taps from the Ramon Soler® URBAN CHIC collection.

The "Bathroom for Two" project becomes the ideal bathroom to enjoy as a couple or to share among family members or flatmates. The most important thing in shared bathrooms is that everyone has their own space without getting in the other's way, a requirement that this project meets. In short, we are faced with a space that radiates wellbeing and tranquillity hand in hand with the highest performance.
