Aware of the importance of caring for the environment and its natural resources, Ramon Soler® is introducing the central cold-start opening system, which saves water and energy, on its single-lever mixers.
Because saving water and energy matters
Choosing a tap model with a cold-start opening system can save up to 90% of hot water: the tap always opens with cold water when it is in the central position, so we avoid unnecessarily switching on the water heater. In this way, we save energy by not having to heat water for some of our daily routines that do not need warm water, such as brushing our teeth.
Taps that include this system allow only cold water to be activated when the handle is opened from its central position. This is an important advance over conventional single-lever mixers, because when we open a traditional tap with the handle in the central position (the most usual gesture), we set off whatever water heating system we have, such as the boiler, with the corresponding energy consumption that this act entails.
Half-flow or stepped opening
What is more, the brand's taps with the S3 central cold-start opening system also include an intermediate stop in the vertical travel of the handle, which contributes to saving up to 50% of water.
The new cold-start tap technology encourages the responsible use of water and energy, making it a major advance in the fight for energy saving.

When we need to use hot water, it is enough to move the handle 90 degrees to the left from the central position, and both the temperature and the water flow will respond quickly.
With this gesture, we oblige ourselves to turn the handle if we want hot water, and for everyday uses that do not need hot water, we simply lift the tap handle in the centre as we are used to.
The cold-water opening combined with the intermediate stop makes the Ramon Soler® system a unique cold-start opening system that saves water and energy in a single tap.
