Ramon Soler® donates electronic taps to the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona

As a result of its commitment to society, Ramon Soler® is offering the members of La Unió Catalana d’Hospitals a series of taps with contactless sensors and other items for healthcare and social centres that require no contact with the surface. Among the donated items are electronic washbasin taps, which are activated by a sensor without the need to touch the tap. Electronic wall-mounted push buttons for urinals, which likewise do not need to be touched, have also been supplied. And lastly, contactless electronic taps for built-in washbasins, which likewise need no contact to be activated.

With this donation, Ramon Soler®, a tap manufacturer with 130 years of history, does its bit to combat Covid-19, the global pandemic that is shaking humanity. In these times of health emergency, companies that supply equipment for Catalonia's healthcare and social system are cooperating more than ever to ensure supply, through purchases, contributions and collaborations.

The organisations that will receive the donation are: Consorci Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, Fundació Gestió Sanitaria Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, Fundació ASPACE Catalunya, Parc Sanitari Pere Virgili, Grupo Sant Pere Claver, Fundación Sant Francesc d’Assís, Consorci Sanitari Alt Penedès i Garraf, Centro Sanitario Solsonés, and Xarxa Sanitària i Social de Santa Tecla, among others.

Ramon Soler® is joining the cause by donating taps with an electronic system, which are very useful in the communal areas of public toilets, as they have the great advantage of being operated without any contact with the surface, since they are triggered by a photoelectric cell. A very important feature in today's times, when hygiene and safety prevail.

Unlike manual taps, which are often left running or partly open, electronic taps close automatically after use. This guarantees a significant saving of water, of more than 70% compared with non-electronic taps.

In addition, they have an electronically set flow time when activated and include an adjustable safety time limit, by remote control, to prevent continuous discharge of water. By default, if the sensor is covered for more than 90 seconds, the water outlet closes automatically, which prevents any risk of flooding. Electronic systems have a number of advantages over other systems. They have been conceived and designed to meet the needs and demands of consumers. They are designed so that their sanitary function is extremely effective, safe and robust, and vandal-proof. These are systems that pay particular attention to comfort, thanks to barrier-free activation and the temperature regulator, which offers the possibility of setting a maximum of up to 50ºC. This allows safe, effortless use by young children, the elderly and people with disabilities. In addition, the touch series use electronic technology that allows readjustment once installed, in line with the needs of the moment.
